Elope… elope? ELOPE!!
Why not up sticks and elope?
With whom… I hear you ask?
‘Tis simple, you silly dope…
With my lover wife I’ll elope
In this wet land we’ll only mope
That’s why we should elope
Is this too ridiculous a task?
There’s surely a way to cope
To the sunshine we can elope
What’s your cause to elope??
At straws of warmth we grope
In life’s glow we wish to bask
No longer taking the answer ‘nope’
When I suggest it’s time to elope
Yes? Surely it’s within our scope
Not the steepness of the slope
The sun’s rays fill our love’s flask
With the hills we’ll easily cope…
Now, pack your bags, let’s elope!!
