There’s that ancient cliché…
sometime I just sit…
That’s more or less how I felt on Monday morning. The good lady threw me off in Maynooth in time to catch the 06h20 train into Dublin. Out in our part of the planet the first train only passes by at about six-forty.
The need for an early start had us out of bed not long after midnight… well, that‘s how it felt! To say the least… I’m not used to such early starts anymore. I knew it was going to be a long day after last Friday’s hectic happenings. That’s why I was heading in early… to pre-empt the anticipated mishaps.
So, there I sat… just sat… thinking of better things. Like Sunday’s pappy’s day. Thanks to all the family for my prezzies… the jumper fits well… the wine went down well. Maybe that added to the feeling of dread for a long day to come. Maybe not. Anyway… I just sat.
Thinking about Sunday afternoon’s stroll. Yep… out along the canal. Where else, pray tell ? Ribbontail Bridge. What a bonus to get a barge going through… the same barge that I captured the ’Muffin Lady’ on the M50 Aqueduct. Ribbontail Bridge… a favourite of mine. I’ve featured it on a few occasions… with a few different posers gracing the views.
So… I sit… and ponder… and maybe even wonder… sometimes, only sometimes.
