Solitary Train Man…

Earlier this week on the train trip home I was reminded of a post I did some months ago. That post was about a few sneaky photos I took while on the DART, one of Dublin’s urban rail services. The photos were of an old bearded fellow… click here to see the images.

On that occasion I played with the colouring, changing one of the photos to B&W. When I spotted this fellow nodding off while still maintaining his grip on the book he was reading the temptation got the better of me. The camera just so happened to pop out of the bag into my eagerly awaiting hands.

If you're up for a nap I'm up for taking sneaky shots of you!! Then, bearing in mind I’d done something similar before, I decided to give this photo the same treatment. That’s part of the fun, isn’t it?

Is everything in life blak or white? I wonder some days...There you have it… another solitary man on another journey. Where to? Why? What’s his reason for being on the train? I don’t know but whatever the answers may be, complex and colourful or simply black and white, the fellow allowed me to sneak a few shots off… thanks.

  1. In this world of modern tech we often stop to appreciate people and things around us. It’s nice to see this capture, a snap back to reality.
