Friday Freedom…

I’ve been looking at Hemingway again lately. The man is, or was, such a giant of a figure that it makes sense to want to emulate him is certain areas. I mentioned some similarities long ago when I did one of my first Hemingway posts. Right… which wise cracks of his are amusing me lately? Let’s get going with this one…

“All you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest sentence that you know.”

So… where do we find this truth? Is it to be found in the Good Book or in some of man’s philosophical perceptions of truth? Next… we get this little gem…

“All things truly wicked start from innocence.”

How do the two tie together to suggest the formation of the one true sentence? Hemingway wrote many… so, could this be the one?

“I have a rotten habit of picturing the bedroom scenes of my friends.”

I’ll leave you that freedom of judgement. I’ll add a simple take on all three the above statements…

My alter-ego wonders if ladies visualise erotic romping’s… often!

Flitting from flower to flower... just like my alter-ego's dirty little thoughts...

Flitting from flower to nectar filled flower… just like my alter-ego’s flirtatious seductive thoughts…

Love the photo, but no, I think Sallyann is only partly right. Our minds are full of all sorts of things, like deciding what to cook for dinner, and wondering whether the cat’s been fed. 🙂

I think the alter-ego is going to be somewhat disappointed when it realises most ladies are more likely to visualise a huge slice of chocolate fudge cake. 😀
