Dublin Skyline… Guinness Storehouse Style!

I’ve eventually begun working my way through all the photos taken last Saturday (18 Jan) when we enjoyed a work gathering at the fantastic Dublin venue. I’ve already made it well-known that I have to return… during the day, as well as at night, to get more photos.

Now let me see… I can think of an excuse or two in the next month or so for a visit… yes, I think I may just have to usurp my authority and demand a return. As an appetizer… here’s a view from the Gravity Bar at the top of the building.

The Dublin skyline at night, as seen from the Gravity Bar at the Guinness Storehouse, Ireland

I had a lighter moment on the evening… there was I, a blow-in… pointing out all the landmark buildings in the distance… yes, if you begin on the left there’s a sweep taking in the Four Courts dome… the Spire… the IFSC, that horrid Liberty Hall, the Convention Center… Christ Church Cathedral.

No, I’m not making it up… you can see them all… then, down to the Dublin Docklands are, the well-lit Bord Gas Theater, the tallest office block in Ireland, Google Docks and on and on… the Poolbeg Chimney stacks… Saint Patrick’s Cathedral steeple… even the Aviva Stadium.

PS – Now you know why I want to return… yes, I know I need a tripod for the night shots!

PSS – Yes, I’ll open the window next time… mind you, I quite like the effect of the reflections…

Very nice. I love the reflections.

  2. I took a shot from the same window! Only it didn’t look as cool. It was a grey day. Night looks much more fun. 🙂
