The Tart!

Molly Malone, or more precisely the statue of the fictional character, was last seen at the lower end of Grafton Street. Rumour has it that she’s continued plying her trade… pushing her cart along. The good lady seems to have had a rather dodgy reputation… selling a little more than smelly fish. That could be why she’s locally known as the “Tart with the Cart”

Have a look here at a much earlier photo to be seen on the WikiP page… pay a wee bit of attention to some of her exposed anatomy… then look at my photo… seems the bits of anatomy are a tad more burnished by touch, don’t you think? I’m rather happy the lady is wearing period costume… could you imagine how shiny her other bits would have been if my theory is correct?

  1. I have a photo of a statue that has a super-dark patina on it. Except for one buttcheek, which has been rubbed clean by countless hands. 🙂

Yes, I have to admit my husband was pretty fascinated with the “the dish with the fish”!

I value your 'likes' and comments, even though I don't always reciprocate, I care. Thanks for making the effort! God Bless!!
