Costa Del Eire!

There are days when one wonders why we all want to get on a plane for that special sun holiday down in sunny Spain… or Florida, or Portugal… or the Amalfi coast or a Greek island or Morocco… OK, you get the drift? There are days…

Beach beginning a mile or so north of Courtown, Co Wexford

Then there are days one just wants to take in the vista and appreciate the beauty Ireland has to offer. Yep, you read right. This photo was indeed taken in the sunny south-east… of Ireland!

OK… it wasn’t much more that 20 degrees Celsius but that matters not!

I have to admit I do miss the seaside. In Oxford were pretty much as far away from the sea as you can get in any direction in Britain.
I grew up within a stonesthrow of the sea, albeit with a good long shot, but they’re right when they say you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.
Two hours drive there and back makes for a very long daytrip.

Yes, I know what you mean and agree. I grew up outside Cape Town and then spent most of my adult life in Port Elizabeth. We lived 10 kilometers from Maitland’s Beach… do a search and see the endless white sand!! Going down to Arklow now that the two little darling have been robbed from us 😉 has given me a new incentive… back to the sea it must be!! Time will tell but I’m hooked on the place down there!! 😛

I value your 'likes' and comments, even though I don't always reciprocate, I care. Thanks for making the effort! God Bless!!
