Some days it’s fun to go walk-a-bout for a few hours. Saturday just past we jumped into the car and set off for just such a spur of the moment aimless drive. We eventually ended up at Glendalough in Co Wicklow. The place is a tourist magnet as it is one of Ireland’s best known monastic sights. I have for years avoided the place, for fear of getting trampled on and even on an icy, wind blow winter’s day the throngs are there.
Oh well, it is a place that must be seen so there I was, making like a tourist and pointing my camera this way and that. Seems to me one of the local farmers are not too enamored with all the attention either. I think this one made it rather obvious that he’s not too fond of dogs!
Mind you… you’ve got to be a rather fine marksman to only shoot the dog in the middle of a flock of sheep… snipers for hire?
