This blog began as a challenge to do daily posts for one year. Today marks the completion of four years without missing a day. As each year has rolled by I’ve asked the question… should I keep going? Each year I get good advice from regular friends and each year I seem to suggest I’ll keep going for one more year.
So, how about me throwing together a very random gallery (or two) of some of the photo’s I’ve posted since OMBH took those first hesitant steps into blog-hood? I’ll begin the show with the first photo ever published and wind my way through four years but before I do that there’s one very important task to complete…
THANK YOU all…
for the support and friendship during the last four years!
I’m tempered to say let’s see where this takes us in the next four years… who knows?
Who will be the winner?? No… not Daffy!
# 38 – View from the bridge… traffic jam of sorts?
Mad Rabbit… icon of a deranged banking system?
The sun illuminates the raised flag… symbolic?
MF studies the lock situation at Ribbontail Bridge… from the sharp end of 31B
Happy Howth… the Dalkey perspective…
Rain, rain … glorious rain … peeping over the scorer’s shoulder at those mad fellows out there in the liquid Irish summer sunshine! 🙂
Gratitude pic of the week… makes me smile this one…
Walking… wabbly wibbly style… 😉
You bet! You fix a lot more!! Long may it last!!
Time for a snack …
Blue sky… perfect braai weather. The lads take a break and have a snack… the BBQ built from the extracted blocks… 😉
AJ… the Wibbly Wobbly Wonder hard at work…
Reflections… more stairs… more gratitude…
St Mel’s Cathedral, Longford… a different view…
The Springbok and the Flag… so poignant! Least we forget!
Richmond Harbour in all it’s glory! Whoopy!
Merry Christmas everyone… our tree this year… expertly decorated by the good lady wife with the odd input from the sonny’s and others!!
Late winter afternoon… not quite bliss… a tad too cold yet still enchanting…
Curves and sky… blue and bronze… serene seduction…
Sunlit building next to Grand Canal Station… Montevetro, I think they’ve named it…
A last glimpse back at the buildings on the opposite side of Grand Canal Quay…
Dark clouds, grey skies… the view through the hole in the Samuel Beckett Bridge over the Liffey in Dublin
Hey oupa… how about these great berries? Yippy… yum, yum… 😉
Looking back toward the east… I don’t know of too many ‘pink’ lamps in the city…
Now I pronounce you man and wife… so said the man… and lo, they were!! 😉
There you go… who’s the cheat? The swan or… me? 😉 The swan… beating the official start of spring… by a few days!
Checking the headlights… yep, they work…
Looking toward the Huband Bridge at Upper Mount Road…
Early morning dewdrops… bliss at the station!
Gosh… that’s only the first year and as mentioned… very random! I think I’ll do the other years later in the week as tomorrow is St Patrick’s Day I’ll skip doing a gallery but the last two pics of today have a distinct Paddy’s Day feeling… I wonder why?
PS: I’ve retained the original captions… why not? They sure bring back happy memories of a difficult time during the recession!
PSS: There’s one pic that signifies Freedom more than any other… the lady walking her dog. It was taken along the Royal Canal… miles from anywhere. My SA friends will relate…

Thanks Joan, yes, sometimes I don’t have a clue… then I flick through my photos and usually find one I meant to use at the time of taking it but other things got in the way… and whalaaa… I have a post for the next day! 😉
