Last Saturday I had the good fortune of watching yachts been put into the water… well, into where the water would be in a few hours. This, apparently, is an annual spring event. It was spring low tide so I’d say the club members chose the date to coincide with the lowest ebb of the new season. It made sense to swing the boats in and park them all on the exposed land.
The crane operator obviously knew his stuff and it wasn’t long before the tide would come in to get all the boats afloat for another season…
I couldn’t resist taking up Krista’s challenge this week because this really hammers home the concept of being afloat. No water… no float!
PS – Those who know me a little may notice I’ve managed to get one of Dublin’s key landmarks framed spot on in the center of the photo. Now that really floats my boat!
