My Favourite Dublin Meeting Place – Part 1

A few days ago Janet, from Meetings Booker, invited me to do a post about my favourite Dublin meeting place. I immediately thought of a few so I may do a series to cover some of the sights and sounds of the city and surrounds.

I’ll begin with the open air and most likely stick with outdoor spots because this is where I enjoy spending my time. This was reemphasised for me a few days ago when I was strolling through St Stephens Green. The sun was out and the park was filled with business folk taking a stroll around the well laid out green area.

At one point I overheard a well suited gent say something along these lines…

“Now, this is what I deem to be the perfect office…”

His sweeping gesture confirmed my suspicion… it was the Green he was waxing lyrical about! Why not? The Dublin City Council keeps the place in pristine condition, throughout the year.

I’ve taken my family there for a stroll or two. My good lady and I like our slow meanders around the manicured flowerbeds, even in the winter. In the week, you’ll always see the “suits” about. Obviously, the four-walled offices surrounding the Green are no match for the beauty and tranquility of this outdoor space.

I have posted numerous St Stephens Green photos in the last few years so if you click here, here, here and here you’ll get an idea of what the park looks like from different angles.

I wasn’t planning this post the last time I visited the Green but the colours were so good I’ll share a few of my latest photos…

How about revisiting next Friday? I’ll feature another great Dublin meeting place…

As it’s Friday… do have a great day and an even better weekend!
