Last week during the meteor show we sat outside enjoying a rare clear Irish summer’s evening. It was a bit chilly but hey, it was a pleasure to see Ma Nature’s firework display. We sighted quite a few but as hard as I tried I didn’t manage to capture one on camera. I did get this photo… a 30 minute exposure that has little merit, apart from the fun element.
If you look closely to the right you’ll see a trail of a different sort… an aircraft passing by overhead, leaving its own special mark on my photo. Pity the meteors couldn’t be follow suit. Oh well… next time I’ll try again…
Guess what? It’s Friday again… happy days, do enjoy your day and weekend… and as always, don’t do what I wouldn’t!
That is a very cool photo, I’ve never got to see a meteor shower myself.

Bookmark 08 October, not long after sunset… look directly upward in a north westerly direction and hope!! That’s when the next shower is meant to be happening!! 😉

WOW!! That is a fantastic photo!! And I love the aircraft “photobomb”. 😉
I saw a few meteors the other night, too – always exciting, even though they only last a split second.

Photo-bomber!! Yes, I like that!! It was fun sitting up watching. I’m already planning for the next shower in October… the 8th to be exact. I’m going to do many 30 second exposures and stack them on Photoshop. The nice thing about this October shower… it’s in the evening after sunset! 😉
