Gleaming!

This week Ailsa wants us to brighten up a little so I went digging in the archives again. Fortunately I only needed to venture as far as the June folder. There I found a few photos that to my mind define gleaming perfectly…

gleaming – shine brightly, especially with reflected light – (off a smooth surface or object) reflect light because well polished…

This spinning bronze sphere in the grounds of Dublin’s Trinity College is a masterpiece of angles, lines and light.

Gleaming halo!! The rays of hope and light!!

I even managed to get a light burst atop the ball… and great gleaming goodness reflections!

Lines and light... great gleaming goodness!

Do click here to visit Wiki – P and read more about the sculptor who has created these spheres that are now found in many locations…

This sorta off the beaten path, type art, give a refreshing look at the differences of people’s perception. I would love to know what the artist’s create drive for this piece was, and where is head was when they’re head was when they created this piece. To know that this piece made you think of gleaming, or vice versa, is cool, because I did got a totally different idea entirely. Thanks for sharing 🙂

That is beautiful, and so fitting for the challenge, it looks like the sculptor was a busy boy with sculptures in many places.

Do visit… on a sunny day!! A tip… if the sphere isn’t spinning you can turn it by hand to suit your angles…

Well, come to think of it… you set the challenge so you need to take the credit for the post!! 😉
