Red Rain

After Sunday’s utterly damp… no sorry, drenched day the sun made a few appearances to get the week off to a better start. I took a few photos of this Montbreita (Crocosmia) bush as the morning sun peeped out from behind a large cloud. I felt rather good when I went looking for details about the plants on the Wildflowers of Ireland site.

Why? Because this plant has a very good pedigree… yep, it’s also from South Africa, therefore… by deduction, many good things from South Africa have brightened up the Irish countryside. Whooppee… maybe there’s hope for me yet!

Raindrops on crocosmia... good things from down south!!
