Three B’s!

It’s rather amazing what happens when the sun shines. The butterfly in the photo is a migrant flier that does not breed in Ireland but flies in during the summer. This Painted Lady flew in and seems to have taken up residence in the chives patch outside the front door. Summer fun? Yes, up until a few days ago I’d only seen one specimen and now there seems to be one living in the garden. Just a pity we had the first light frost on Monday night…

Blue... bee and butterfly! Happy fun!

I fear all the rain has driven the butterflies underground… or wherever they hide. Yep… ice it was… just a touch but unmistakable!! 🙂
