Me, for one… likes warmth! I can do with an all round 24 deg C… yes, that is my optimum. Well, the occasional 28 will also do… especially if there’s a cooling sea breeze going. However, I’ve taken many great photos in winter so why not get this week’s challenge going with one that fits the bill.
Grey skies… grey buildings… bare tree. The Campinile at Trinity College hiding behind the tree. However, the grass is green… as only grass can be in the middle of winter on this Emerald patch on the Atlantic. Yep, it matters not what the season… you’ll be assured of finding green in Ireland!
Beautiful photo! That green is almost luminous. I’m trying my best to keep a hint of (albeit parched and scorched) green in our lawn at the moment but I’m losing the battle against the brown patches that become bigger by the day. At least the skies are blue when I look up so I can’t complain. There is still plenty of colour around.

Yes it’s a bit uncomfortable but we have air conditioning (albeit the evaporative type at home which is not as good as the reverse cycle but it still helps). Thankfully it’s usually only for a few days and our winters are mild by comparison ( we get our share of blue sky days then too) so I really can’t complain.

Met temperature oor die 40C sal die groen selfs daar nie lank hou nie!
