Before the April A to Z began I was doing my own Dublin A to Z which I have to continue when May rolls around again. I cheated a little then by featuring Kilcock because it’s “our” village. It’s in County Kildare and not actually in Co Dublin but as the counties are neighbours and Kilcock is one of the many dormer village surrounding Dublin I felt Kilcock could do with a bit of publicity.
So… here we are again at one of those junctures in time when I have to deal with the letter K. So… as I did then, I’m going to do now as I feel Kilcock and Co Kildare need more publicity. Why? Because it’s there. Yes, as that famous man is reputed to have said when asked why he wanted to climb the mountain… because it’s there! However, I’m going to show you another side of Co Kildare… often featuring photos of the Royal Canal in this gallery. Why? Because it’s there.
PS – I wonder if I showed enough photos of the canal?
PPS – I wonder if I showed enough photos?
PPPS – I wonder if I…?
PPPPS – I wander?
PPPPPS – ?
It looks like a lovely place. Glad you shared this K with us 🙂

Thank you! I think I may start a photo classification standard. The following springs to mind. We place the photos in the following classes, good enough for a stand alone canvas print, in a group for a calendar … or maybe postcard? Just having fun!! 😉

Kanaal dame, kanaal!! 😉 Yep, the canals are a somewhat alien idea to us Saffers. The Royal Canal reached Kilcock (from Dublin) before 1800!! 😉

Totally alien. Canal traffic then 😀

Ja, so regte Vaaldam style. Sit en wag vir die pap aan die lyn om te begin hop op die water.
