Interesting concept, this local. This week’s challenge has really brought home the impact of our impending move. Ever since arriving in Ireland in 2001 Kilcock has been local, our local. Now, we’re moving to the coast, to a different county… a different environment and potentially a different take on life. What will our new local be like? All we can do is plan for the short-term and hope the future in our new home is as interesting as home in the old local was! So… as Kilcock and surrounds fades from our daily lives, why don’t I show you some of the images that will now be confined to memory?
Ouch!! My back hurts!! 
Moving is so gruelling both physically and emotionally and that letting go of what has been your familiar, your landscape, your comfort blanket, your memory filler for so long is hard. Very very hard. But I am sure that the new will be opportunity, it will be full of pointing and staring and absorbing and making new memories. It will feel different, it will be different but it will be good. I wish you bon courage, bon voyage and a happy contented and warm new home 🏡

Kilcock looks like a lovely part of Ireland, so I hope your new home is just a lovely. (Although that shouldn’t be too hard given Ireland’s intrinsic beauty.)
