Flames!

I love flames… making fire or just sitting and watching the crackling fire on a chilly evening. Only days after moving to the coast the good lady and I went for a stroll on the beach and found a spot where folk had left the remnants of their campfire. That sparked memories of our beach visits and the braais we enjoyed on sultry summer’s evenings back in South Africa. So… we pledged that when summer returns we’ll wander down in the direction of the same spot… collecting driftwood as we go. We’ll make a little fire and just sit by the seaside… enjoying the waves and the flames… primal joy!
