Today, we begin a new paragraph in the chapter of employment life. Yes, I’m going off the the big dirty smoke to begin a short-term contract with a very reputable company who has given me two months to prove that I may have what it takes to join them for a longer period.
Lots of life has gone down the river since I last worked in the big dirty smoke. Lots of joy, like yesterday’s celebration of Junior Son’s 21st! Yes… we no longer have children, we only have adults! Mostly though, Junior Son’s birthday will always be remembered by us because it is now also the day we said goodbye to an inspiration! However, I think we should celebrate life… after all, we are fortunate to build fond memories!
Ouch!! My back hurts!!

Happy birthday to Junior Son who it turns out was born in the same year as my junior daughter – celebrate no children, celebrate only adults (and we both know they will always be children) …. but most of all I wish you the greatest of success with the reputable company in the Big Smoke – so break a leg my friend and have a kick-ass day!
