Wednesday Wishes!

Just think… within a week the Big C will have come and gone. I say the Big C because these days it’s so over commercialised that many don’t really have a clue what it’s all about! No, I’m not going to start preaching. Although I’m a believer I think many non believers will agree… it’s really become a time of stress, spending money on things, to try and please people.

The worst part of that is the fact that for months afterwards we’re still trying to make the books balance. OK, I know there are certain parts of the traditions that are a necessary evil… like the overindulgence. Yes, I love feeding my family on Christmas Day… I say it’s my way of getting them back for all the grief they’ve given me during the year. Rather amazing, they come back year after year for more! I wonder, am I doing something right?

WoW… this post has turned into a mini-rant and confession… all in one. Mind you, I called it Wednesday Wishes… basically because it is the festive season and because I would love to begin wishing all my blogging friends a happy festive time, spent with family, spent enjoying the simple things… like a plate of good food… and maybe a family squabble or two!

The Arklow reindeer... as the sun sets over the town... December 2016

I’m going to try and bring you a few festive glimpses of Arklow, Co Wicklow here in Ireland for the next few days… Happy Festive Season… may God bless!
