Names a-Float!

I was down at the harbour, well aware that yesterday’s daily prompt was looking for something a-float.  Then I arrived home, only to see the Weekly Photo Challenge asked us to name objects. So began my quandary. Which way should I flop… or should that be flip. Oh drat… why not just flip-flop? Why not a few photos?

The Spirit of Rathlin from Belfast in Arklow Harbour...

Have a closer look at the boat’s name and port of origin. Keep the port of origin handy… I’ll soon tell you why. I couldn’t resist adding another floating beauty, bedecked with names. She’s the Arklow Lifeboat. A graceful lady crewed by RNLI volunteers who serve the Arklow coastline’s folk. Often unsung, often going to the rescue of those in trouble… mostly in treacherous seas.

The Arklow RNLI Lifeboat! Thanks to the crews who serve with devotion!

OK… time to link the names. Yes I know there are all sorts of links but there is one you may not be aware of. One of Belfast’s most famous sons once visited Arklow… you can hear all about that here…

I wonder… how many of you have songs sung about your place of residence… by very famous artists? The idea really floats my boat!

Funny how the synchronicity of things come at you, sometimes you look and there it just, floating around with their names all spelled out, just for you….helping you connect the dots. Nice job putting 2 things together so well.

I value your 'likes' and comments, even though I don't always reciprocate, I care. Thanks for making the effort! God Bless!!
