Repurpose!

Krista’s weekly challenge photo is special. A blue Christmas bauble in a bird’s nest. Do go look… do go see how Krista has created a bit of magic. A very simple concept… to repurpose two totally unrelated items… to create unique appeal. Her photo had an instant effect on me…

“As I remember, your eyes were bluer that robin’s eggs… “

Yes… there stirred in me reminders… reminders of the greatest ever folk couple born in the same era… to have graced the same stage. I sat, hunting for another image… of a passing snap I’d taken in Maynooth last year, while listening to their magic…

Repurposed bug bliss! As seen in Maynooth, Co Kildare, Ireland

A snap of a meticulously constructed masterpiece of another kind. Imagine how long it had taken to assemble this work of art. Imagine the pleasure it had given the folk who’d chosen to repurpose all the individual components. Imagine the pleasure their recipients were in for!

However… I still have that line running around in my head. No, I have the memories and the song banging about in my bug hotel. The bug hotel of memories… of dreams and ideas… of my repurposed reminders. I’ll have to leave you with a glimpse of those memories… fleeting…

“Now you’re telling me you’re not nostalgic… “
