Sunshine or Gloom?

We awoke on Sunday morning with high hopes. Yes… we’d thought of dropping down to the beach for a few hours. However, this is the picture we were greeted with as we enthusiastically flung back the curtains. Oh dear…  we were quickly reminded that it was still very much winter!

A grim scene... Sunday morning coming down... Irish style!

However… that didn’t mean we couldn’t have anticipated a stroll on one of Ireland’s sunny south-east beaches. How so, I hear you ask? Would that be wise… isn’t it always supposed to rain in Ireland… especially in winter??? NO… this was the day before! Yep, we spent hours in the outdoors on Saturday! So-much-so that I’m going to do quite a few posts in celebration of a great day out!

Ireland's sunny south east! Even in winter it has it's charms! Looking north toward Arklow... from Kilmicheal Point, in Co Wexford

Happy Monday!! Just think… within days it will be weekend again!

There’s all sorts of connotations I could’ve added to that lovely sunny photo. Yep, I was going to call it… wait for it… a room with a view!

But then, I spied Livvy’s self-portrait! Amazing how the same sun created our portraits… same bright, sunny day… same country… same winter… same desire for the outdoors, yet totally disconnected! Or, connected? Yep… I’ll keep pondering!
