Craft?

Is photography an art or is it a craft? If you earn a living by photography it must surely be a job? But then… a craft can be a job and a job can be a craft. Is a craft something you do because you must earn a living or is a craft something you do because you have a passion for it?

Is photography something that keeps the good lady and me busy? Yes… on any day of the weekend you can find us somewhere, snapping away… for the love of the outdoors and in the pursuit of the perfect picture. Is the pursuance of the perfect picture a craft or passion? Flip, I’m soon going to drive myself around the bend… again! Just to prove my point… here is definite evidence that we were there… if you can believe our shadows.

Mind you, now I’m wondering… is storytelling a craft? Is the art of being crafty a craft? How on earth should I know? After all, I’m not a philosopher… I’m just a crafty happy snapper!
