Against the ODDS!!

About ten years ago I was called in by my GP. He asked me to sit down as he was going to share life changing information.

“You have diabetes… that’s why you’re so tired and rundown.”

I sat in silence. What could I say?

“You must know, this is a lifestyle disease. One of the problems with this illness… it is for life!”

And so began a routine of tablets and finger pricking. I have documented much on my Health page. I will write a lot more about the choices we face and how the health system has failed to reverse the headlong march of an epidemic that is largely preventable.

YES, there is a rather simple solution that will most likely work for the vast majority of Type 2 Diabetes sufferers. It’s called LCHF!

LOW Carb, Healthy FAT

Right… before you suggest I’m off my rocker, I’m going to leave you with a number of links to specialist sites. There is a massively impressive list of specialists who are speaking out against the wrongs of the medical systems in the western world! Yet, there is major resistance to change because Big Pharma, Big Food, Big Soda and their assorted layers of industrial and government sidekicks hare beginning to realise that those in the know may be onto them.

OK, back to my personal story. I have learned that, against the odds, I can reverse Type 2 Diabetes. Not only can I do that… I can also live a much more fulfilling life away from the prospect of handfuls of drugs on a daily basis!

Beautiful sunset! Quality of life to be enjoyed if one can venture out of the front door with ease. Eat well, stay healthy... the rewards are massive!

OK… I promised you some links. Why don’t I begin with this image I borrowed from Benji.

Benji's photo! Look him up on Twitter!

You don’t have to look too far to spot two names that you can research! Both ladies who are experts in their respective fields. Both ladies are fighting the fight! Both ladies testified in defence of Prof Tim Noakes. We don’t have too long to wait for the NOT GUILTY verdict! To read that story, do read Marika Sboros’ extensive coverage of the “trial”. She shares many more names of key members of the LCHF fraternity! I promise… if you’re in need of a great who-done-it, you won’t be disappointed! Mind you… you’ll most likely also benefit substantially!

If you follow my Twitter feed you’ll easily stay up to date with the Tweets of all the folk I follow. Simple!

This is such an important message …. the diabetes explosion of the last couple of decades IS down to diet and lifestyle and it is quite criminal that doctors are still dolling out a gloom story along with the pills and saying ‘get on with it’ when what should be happening is an education and support to change to the diet that does work. The diet and food industries are a disgrace, as are pharmaceuticals companies and the doctors are all complicit until they wake up and start listening. Hopefully in Britain the fact that the health services is on its knees and cutting back and back on prescribing, there might actually be a positive side – for Doctors would do well to listen and preach the diet alternative and run support groups rather than going the sit in your chair and rot whilst popping a plethora of pills approach.

      Spot on!
Only problem… far too many doctors are in the pockets of Big Pharma. Big Food and Big Soda sponsor university research and in that way have the finding slanted in their favour! MONEY… GREED… keeping the population ill has massive implications and is highly profitable… for many!!

My husband insists that everyone who is in eat lunch round a table together at his workplace. Discussions abound which is the point of the exercise. A while ago they debated what the root of the worlds’ problems is. You guessed it – greed was the unanimous answer. The greed of the pharmaceuticals companies drives them to sponsor education and the brainwashing starts on day one of training (and it has the double effect of making them look good). Many years ago when I was an ante natal teacher and my own daughters were babies and toddlers I joined in a campaign to out Nestlé who at the time were discouraging African women from breastfeeding by giving them free samples of baby milk and babies were dying because the water supplies in villages were often contaminated and there was no teaching them to boil the water and sterilise. It was an absolute disgrace and this current epidemic of diabetes is driven in the same way and equally deplorable.
