Tree-mendous Tuesday!

Yep… I kid you knot! Tuesday is tree-mendous! Why? Because it’s summer and the trees are all sorts of shades of green! Do click here to see what this scene looked like in winter and you’ll have to agree… there’s nothing to lift the spirit quite like a green tree!!

  1. Hi AJ. I was born in England and on my visits there I am always put off by the weather and as you say ‘drabness.’ Coming back to SA’s green and gold is always very uplifting and heartwarming.

    Wow! Dis nogal ‘n verskil ja. So die meeste van die bome verloor ook hulle blare in die winter? Ek smaak daai geel huisie.

      Ja! Die Engelse het ‘n goeie woord… DRAB! Dis baie drab in die winter!! BAIE!!! 😉

        Ek onthou die “dooie” grasperk en die geraamtes van bome in die winter daar van my Gauteng-dae af. Daar was niks so mooi soos die skielike ontwaking in die lente nie. Ek het gewoonlik hier aan die begin van Augustus al elke oggend vroeg uit die bed gespring om te gaan kyk of die stinkhout- en mopbome al blare het en of daar bloeisels aan die perskebome is. Dis darem maar lekker, soos ‘n nuwe hoofstuk in ‘n boek. En mooi!
