Saturday gone by, spring made a brief appearance again. Just long enough for a few of the snow survivors to make an equally brief appearance. This lad was hard at work… finding what little feed there was. Blackthorn blossoms offer scant reward but if you’re hungry, after a very long chill, anything will do. One thing I’ll store in the grey-matter… keep an eye on that tree… maybe there’ll be sloes for the Christmas gin, if this butterfly did it’s pollinating best!
I couldn’t make up my mind which pic to use so you’ll have to be satisfied with two!
I am glad you shared both photos. We’ve seen the odd peacock and some whites too but temperatures really need to warm up a bit!!
