If you’d asked me a year ago if I’d ever have to stay at home for days because of the weather I would have said it’s unlikely. Maybe a day at most but not days. Then, if you’d asked me if I would’ve had to stay at home twice in one winter because of weather related events I would’ve said highly unlikely.
But, stay at home twice I did. And it wasn’t just me. At some points most of Ireland stayed at home… first when Storm Ophelia lashed the country but the bigger, less violent occurrence was the arrival of The Beast from the East in tandem with Storm Emma. Snow like we’ve never experienced! At one point during both events we lost power. I’m afraid our local infrastructure just couldn’t cope with the tempests and extra demand!
So, how likely is it that I’m going to share some storm photos with you… very likely! (I have randomised the gallery, so the position of the photos will change with each refresh. Also, I’ve added a few day afters… )
Ahh yes memories come flooding back of our winter, just when i starting to enjoy the Spring!!!

It’s all right. Sometimes it’s good to be reminded of these things so we appreciate more what we have now, even if it rained for most of the day!

The environment and weather are changing and people are ignoring the signs.

The natural swing of things? Over population hastening the usual patterns? Is it wrong to question how the doomsday predictors read the signs? What will be will be? 😉
