Yesterday was one of those real Irish summer’s days! As I have a few days off work it didn’t take me long to persuade myself to go for a walk. I was richly rewarded. Not only did I find my first Small Blues for the season… I was lucky enough to catch a pair at the you know what’s! The photo is rather heavily cropped and as I was trying to catch the action, including a busybody buzzing the pair, the focus is slightly off. The price you pay for buying cheap lenses!
I hope you enjoy your day… and the fun you’re planning to have! Just by the way… the Small Blue is not very common in Ireland… and as the name suggests, it is small! Ireland’s smallest butterfly! Have a look-see at the Wiki-P page… the larvae live interesting lives!
