Have a look-see at this glorious image… maybe I’ll explain!
Taken on Sunday afternoon. The good lady and I were on the beach… where else? Occasionally, I find a flat stone or other object to place the camera on… then, I set the timer and it shoots off a five burst frenzy. I am usually too late for the first pic but who cares… we get the other four and we can then make a choice, do we dump the photos or keep at least one for posterity?
Well… as you can see from the brilliant shot above… there’s not much to see… apart from my good lady’s legs and a lot of low-level white blur. Yep, you may have guessed… that’s the sea making an attempt at claiming my camera!! That would have made me a very sad person. I reckon I’ll give up the luxury of a car before I sacrifice my camera! True…
Anyway… as it’s a proper camera it withstood the drenching. And… just in case you don’t believe my story… here’s my good lady’s pic of me trying to rescue my beloved snapper machine… before the sea really took it!
PS – By proper I mean… it’s a Nikon!
PPS – OK, it was not quite a total drenching… I don’t think it would’ve survived a dunking!
PPPS – yes, it’s still working just fine… although I do think a bit of sand may have got into the focus ring… it’s operation is a tag scratchy!
PPPPS – just in case you don’t believe me that the camera is still happy… below is a pic I took soon afterwards… of the self-same good lady snapping away at more waves… and stuff!
PPPPPS – Remember your date with Nellie tomorrow… around lunchtime… Irish time!
