Tuesday Tunes – Wish You Were Here

Today’s title should point you immediately to this week’s band… and songs! Why did I choose Pink Floyd for today’s post? Simple… I’ll again revert to that Three Bob’s entry I did some years ago. The first band mentioned was The Floyd… subliminal? Maybe… my mind worked in that order that day so now I’ll begin with Wish You Were Here! I’m not going into the history of the music… but, I will say this, I first heard this song played by two unknown lads on a Cape Town beach. The song blew me away… resulting in me hunting down the LP… all those years ago!

OK… the past lives very strongly when Pink Floyd lands on the turntable. I own quite a few of their vinyls so, when the mood takes me I will spend a whole evening pigging out on The Floyd… so, I’ll leave you with one of my favourites from The Wall…

So… a photo? Peace, love and high as a kite… a wee bit of flower power?

OK… ok… I hear you’re cursing me… a Pink Floyd post without including a track from The Dark Side Of The Moon? Madness! Yes… I bow to your superior knowledge and leave you with that old favourite… Time!

PS – I mentioned pigging out… so, some time in the future I’ll have to feature a few songs from the Animals LP…

PPS – You can find all the links to the music posts on the Tuesday Tunes page
