I have to admit… I spent quite a few hours this past weekend blog hopping! Yep, I’ve had time to devote to blogging so… as a few weeks ago I had way in excess of 2500 unread mails in the inbox I have really been trying to visit blogs… especially blogs I’ve neglecting this year. I really got stuck in and had fun seeing what folk have been up to while life got in my way.
OK… a few things, I still have a long way to go in mining the inbox, so… if you should be calling around today and wonder why I haven’t paid your page a visit lately… be a tad forgiving… I’m getting there! The other thing… there’s a reason why I’ve had the time… I’m currently working through a period of illness time off. I occasionally get thick with myself… I won’t say frustrated… just pissed off… so, don’t mind when I get slightly irrational!
Well… there you have it. Back to the blog hopping. I called around to Nature on the Edge. Now… there’s a few reasons why I enjoyed my visit… number one, I grew up on the Cape Peninsula… so, it’s always great to visit a blog that takes me back home! It was also fun finding the specific post that lead to this post… movement! Liz played with colour… and manual camera settings! Swirling the lens focus ring can really create great effects!
Look at Liz’s photos and tips… she uses a 200mm lens. I don’t have one so, I tried to make a manky 300mm do something for me… rotating in, rotating out… blurry fun! Anyway… it’s fun and I’m going to try it again in the future. The last two pics are just to prove that I can get close to focus… even if I had to stand on the table to get enough distance for the auto-focus to work!
PS – Happy Monday! Set easy goals for the week…
PPS – Remember… Nellie at noon on Wednesday… Irish time!
