Friday Flutters – Hopping Ducks!

When we do the school run with the two littlest grandchildren, we often stop at the duck pond – the very littlest lad insists that we see and feed the ducks. Swans are big ducks… mallards are just ducks… crows are crow-ducks… and seagulls are sea-ducks. Simple really… but as they say in the classics… out of the mouths of babes.

On this day the big ducks were nowhere to be seen so the attention soon turned to attempting to get the ducks to snatch the bread from the hand… and me snapping the moment! I managed a few almost shots but it soon turned into… let’s see if you can make the duck jump…  so… there you have it… hoppity-hop duck!

Happy Friday… enjoy your day… and weekend, and as always… don’t do what I wouldn’t!

PS – Yes… I know we shouldn’t be feeding them white bread… and neither should we be eating the stuff! Well, I don’t!

PPS – No ducks or children were harmed in the shooting of this movie… well, apart from the indigestion…

Didn’t know that ducks could balance on the tip of their webbed feet. Wonderful photo. 🙂

Die spul is so lui… hulle wou nie eintlik saam speel nie… hulle verwag mens moet die brood in hulle bekke sit! Ons het lekker pret gehad terwyl ons vir hulle ‘n bietie oefening gegee het!! 😉
