Happiness IS – Lens-Artists

Reading Leya’s challenge gave me all sorts of ideas… and seeing her photos reminded me of things we do in the name of happiness! Coffee for two in the morning? Yes, that counts right up there… especially when you’ve boiled the water on an open fire on the beach… and you share a cup with your better half!

Happiness… I thought it good to visit Mrs Google’s list of definitions… simply because my take on the concept is tied in with my state of being! This is what I expected… so, she didn’t disappoint…

I have long said that my levels of contentment have risen significantly in the last few years… since I’ve allowed outlet to my creativity! Together with that, we moved down to the coast two years ago. Our walks have become rather dear to us… we’re often to be found on our favourite beaches, it doesn’t matter if there’s a spot or two about…

Butterfly hunting has a way of bringing out the best in us too… especially when we find the odd happy flappers on our favourite expanse of sunny sand! I reckon, as butterflies are usually only around in summer and on warm, bright days, it must be that sunshine raises the happiness levels… must be the Vitamin D!

I would say happiness is also directly proportional to time spent among friends and family. I mean… what could be better than to be out and about with the lil darlings?

We don’t need to have to get fancy or elaborate to raise our levels of contentment… often pleasure-sharing our time with others increases our vague happiness is concept! Back to Mrs Google… she gives us many options for expressing our happy feelings!

Choose your own happiness… your own contentment! I will sneak in here that Faith may have something to do with happiness too, but I’ll leave it there. I’m sure we can alter our mental state at any time, depending on or desire to do so. We don’t need heaps of wealth or numerous opportunities to find happiness… we simply need to focus on relationships… and on improving our individual tolerance and appreciation of the beauty around us!

Yep… happiness IS… seeing a stunning sunset… with the one you love!

Happy Monday… your first for December 2018! Enjoy the week, just don’t set the goals too high!

PS – When doing challenges, I let my thoughts take their own course. I don’t set out to pontificate and I also don’t mean to indicate that life is all wine and roses. On the contrary, if I had to list the issues we’re currently dealing with, you would understand that for us, it is imperative to look on the bright side, and not dwell on the issues!

Many interesting thoughts, some good advice too. ” We don’t need heaps of wealth or numerous opportunities to find happiness… we simply need to focus on relationships… and on improving our individual tolerance and appreciation of the beauty around us!” I love that you mention you have allowed outlet to your creativity – and that brings happiness. It truly does. Thank you for a beautiful and thought through post.
