The Year That Was – April to June 2018

So… the spring eventually managed to get to Ireland… after piles of snow were still seen in shady spots for weeks after the big white-out! We all suspected that the cold had damaged the plants and animals to such an extent that spring would be a dreary affair but Ma Nature knows how to dust herself off! Our beach visits became more frequent… and longer! Now we weren’t falling face down into the snow but rather into the sand! Right… enough prattle… time for the next gallery…

There was Ireland’s first ever cricket test match… and the Billy Joel concert to go to in the big smoke… but there were also signs of a heatwave and coming drought… OH… and the GLW wandered over to New York for a quick break… lucky girl!
