Friendship Friday – Bondels Gedagtes

If you’re wondering, Bondels Gedagtes translates to “bunches of ideas” … more or less. “Bondels” left a comment on my previous FF post – and I wanted to answer the question but I didn’t want to do so until my favourite thistle, which I featured then, started flowering. Now said thistle has broken into bloom…

OK so, this week we chat with “Bondels” – and, I hope your Afrikaans is up to scratch because I think the lady has just started a short story series of note!! Maybe “Bush Woman” will get to enjoy the value of thistle soup in the future… who knows? The question “Bondels” posed way back then wondered about the medicinal properties of said prickly plants? There’s a whole lot to be found on the web… so, I’ll leave you with this one link.

There you have it – visit the good lady’s blog – and build the friendship! I’ll add one more spiky bit – these plants should come with a health warning – wear leather gauntlets/ an apron/ steel-tipped boots and full face protection when attempting to harvest anything!
