Now… don’t get me wrong… I am NOT trying to insult or offend anyone – I am merely wondering aloud – something I do from time to time. I have had a number of new followers as of late. I get numerous follow notifications from WordPress but then never see sign of said new followers again! Just before I pose my theory, let me expand just a little.
WP tells me I have 1657 followers… but, on average I only get about 45 views per day. Let’s just guesstimate… if only 10% of said followers were to pay me a visit per day – that alone will equate to 160+ daily calls. Yes, yes… I know most folk don’t visit daily… or even weekly. However, one would expect to see a larger proportion of said followers calling around more often – right so? I mean… why follow someone you are never going to be involved with again?
OK – so – let’s get to the crux of the matter. What I’d like to know from you – have you also noticed an increase of followers yet no increase in views? Also, do you see new followers who seem only to be selling something? Right… how about we continue with the autumn theme? Here’s a pic we took in Dublin a few days ago…

You know a new follower is a good one when they also take the to comment. Still over 1000 followers is impressive 😊

Do you ever find though that you want to comment on a post but not sure exactly what write. Trying to avoid the “nice post” comment which sometimes feels like a lame attempt interacting.

Good question! No… I will skip along and look for another post where a comment is suited! I’m always behind with my visits to blogs so I will mostly always find something of interest to comment about! 👍🤔😁

I know exactly where you’re coming from… If I get a follow notification I used to pop across to the followers blog to see what we had in common, eventually I found that what we had in common most often was money… I had some… And they wanted it… Quite disheartening really.

I think that sometimes people might like a post on say, creativity, but next time they visit I might be talking about philosophy so my identity is not all that clear and focused. I also have people who sign up but don’t have a blog of their own so I can’t have a look at their posts and see if we have anything in common ….. I liked your photos today. I took a photo of a building in Dublin that looks just like that one 🙂
