Dublin Streets – Black and White Fun

I have to confess… I have a bad habit. Sneaking street photos. I enjoy making like I’m minding my own business while merrily pressing at the shutter release. The only thing with this habit… you take many photos to get one or two that are good enough to use. They’re often too skew… too blurred… too bad or simply don’t capture anything worth showing.

However… on the odd occasion there is a moment captured… like in today’s pic. I’m still wondering if they’re together… if the lady is looking for a street name or a specific building or if they’ve just totally bored with Dublin so they took to wearing strange expressions to show their dissatisfaction…

Travelling Dublin streets... B&W fun...

I haven’t been back to Dublin for a few years now so I appreciate this. I can’t work out the face expressions though! Maybe he is bored and she is lost.

I find this very imaginative as this could lead to a number of quite different stories—like (as you’ve already said) ‘were they related?’ or ‘in what way could the bike have any significance to the picture/story?’ etc (and each with their own possibilities!). Intriguing! 🙂

Thanks… yes, one moment in time could spark many ideas. That’s why I try capturing the moments discretely. Imagine If I’d stopped the two and asked for a photo… most likely they would have told me to ef-off! o_O
