Tuesday Treat – Blackberries…

Yesterday we went hunting blackberries… and we weren’t disappointed! We came away with about two kilograms of juicy berries. The berries went into the deep-freeze – to be used for making wine! Yes… I will share more in time to come – and I’ll also document the whole palava – specially for the YouTube channel. Fun, I promise! For now though, you’ll have to make do with a pretty picture! Happy dayz… happy new month… stay safe – stay free – be happy!

    My Dad used to make elderberry wine, my Nana loved it… Claimed it was medicinal… She lived to 92, so who are we to argue. 😊

      Yep… who are we to argue!? Cool of you to call around! Thanks! Maybe the blackberry wine is even an elixir of life… and we who partake in the potion get to be 120!! 😁😁😁

    You are very lucky to have these berries! They’re imported here so quite pricey

      We are – so, why not take advantage of what Ma Nature offers? I must say though, the cultivated berries are larger and of “better” quality… however, part of the fun is going out to harvest wild berries!!😁😁

    Brame, heerlike wilde vrugte. Toe ek ‘n kind was, was daar so ‘n bos in ons tuin. Dit was so lekker, maar ai die dorings het gesteek! Ek wag in spanning om te hoor van daardie konkoksie wat jy gaan brou!
