Monday Musings – I’m Humbled, Thanks!

So, just the other day, I had the WP renewal popping up. I wondered why I was paying for a service that I’m not using – apart from as a repository for many years’ worth of posts and photos. So, as I usually do, I chatted with herself – who is actually the paymaster too. Yes, I’ll open up the blog again and continue doing limited posts.

But, I hear you asking – why did you hide the blog away in the first place? Let’s just say there were/ are a few reasons. Personal, mostly. One is a family matter that is ongoing – the other is that I sort of feel blogging has more or less lost the appeal it had when I first started way back in 2011. Also, the state of the world worried me.

How so? That thing in 2020 – yes, I’m what you would then have described as a conspiracy theorist. Today, however – just about every one of those theories has become a reality. As I said – the state of the world. Did you partake in the toxins… both mentally and physically? By now you would have realised that to a degree, the power mongers actually caused us to fight with each other… family against family, neighbour against neighbour… employee against employer – friend against friend! Yep, FREEDOM was no longer negotiable…

So, I have for years researched health matters – after a very astute doctor told me in 2013 that I was suffering from statin poisoning. I have written posts about that, thus – when all the 2020 madness got underway, I stuck with my great hero Socrates main maxim – QUESTION EVERYTHING! I think I even did a post along those lines…

However, I must say – I often thought about long-time blogging buddies and regulars who supported my blog. And – WOW – what a great surprise to see some of you back almost immediately after I published Wednesday’s post! I am truly humbled by the fact that you still remember little ol me!

THANK YOU – you are all a blessing to me! Sorry if I don’t really reciprocate – I’ve sort of moved off into another direction. YouTube has taken over a wee bit. I will leave the links to two channels. My own…

OH… I’ve just remembered… WP put posts with multiple links into the trash (I think)… so, I’ll just tell you about the other channel. I record (on occasion) and edit videos for the Legacy Conversation channel. Search the tube, if you’re interested in military history and the lives and stories of veterans. Airforce, Special Forces, Army – Medics and Doctors and even Navy stories can be found on the channel. Yes, I am a veteran – more than 16 years South African Airforce. Great days – not so great, some of the days. I have shared some of those memories during my years of blogging – one post that springs to mind is about my mother never really knowing what I did… because I never told her.

OK… enough of the past. Today’s photo is a selfie… of me at the beach one early morning – doing what I love – metal detecting!
