Contrasts – WPhotoC

I was hunting for a few photos in the galleries to update the Irish Butterflies page, all the while keeping an eye open for a photo or two for this week’s photo challenge. I’ll share these three images… the colour contrasts alone are striking yet for me, the contrast between the delicate, temporary beauty and the inevitable outcome of knowing just how short-lived the beauty actually is is more telling.

The brown of the Speckled Wood against the blue sky…

How are these colours? The red tulip against the black background. Lastly, back to our delicate butterfly friends. The contrast of the orange on the wingtips…
