The Real AJ!

This post was inspired by two little occurrences. Vastly Curious left a comment a few days ago. Her dad went by the name of AJ as well. Then, my GLW came home with this photo…

Two wee happenings seem totally unrelated but it gave me an excuse to remind you where my pen name really comes from. The little fella seen prancing around is in effect the real AJ in our family. Yep, I took his initials when I was looking for a pseudonym. After completing the first novel (I’ll remind you again, yet unpublished) I was scrapping for a strong ‘authorial’ sounding name to emblazon across the front cover.

The little blue-eyed wonder was then in his first year and as the “J” has been borrowed from one of my initials I promptly decided to nick both of his. I tweaked the family name and voilà… a new author was born. Maybe one day… the name AJ Vosse will be known to a few more folk than only my blog buddies. Dreams don’t die easily in my head… so, there’s hope!
