This week Ben asks us to show something that means zigzag to us. He mentions the herringbone pattern or a scar… he shows an impressive zigzag flight of stairs in Braga, Portugal but he challenges us to show our own interpretation. Well, I know I have a zigzag scar on my back but who on earth wants to see my scar? I don’t own a herringbone coat… no, I don’t think you’ll ever see that on me! OK, so what do I show you?
I was looking back at the June 2014 folder when I passed by a series of photos taken of a Linda Brunker sculpture along the coast at Laytown north of Dublin. It’s the second one in the series I’ve had the pleasure of laying eyes on. The other is in Dublin close to the beginning of the Grand Canal. The day we stopped here to have a look it was grey… the leaden sky adds to the drama of the photo, don’t you think?
This gorgeous creature is named Voyager… yes, let your mind drift along its own paths… however zigzag they may be… drift along.
PS – Linda hails from Dublin… I wonder if good friend Joe T will introduce me when the good lady is next in town??
