Flapper Friday – Bird and Mast

I thought, for a moment, that the fleeing bird was going to get entangled in the boat’s mast and rigging… but it made it safely by. Fleeing? Yes… these gulls congregate at the fishing boat offloading area… and they manage to steal whelks out of the containers, before the catch is collected. Then, when a bird gets a morsel, it will be hounded by other birds who believe they have a better right to the stolen loot! Now, why does that strategy sound familier?
